Revving Through Time

The 2024 Washington DC Auto Show will feature an impressive array of classic cars, showcased by three iconic car clubs: the Corvette Club of America (CCA), The Cadillac & LaSalle Club (Potomac Region), and the National Capital Region Mustang Club (NCRMC).

Corvette Club of America: This club, with a history spanning over 67 years, is set to host their largest exhibit yet at the show. They plan to showcase cars from all eight generations of the iconic Chevrolet Corvette. Their involvement in various automotive activities, from charitable events to national-level competitions, highlights their deep connection to the Corvette lifestyle.

The Cadillac & LaSalle Club (Potomac Region): In its 9th consecutive year at the DC Auto Show, this club will take visitors on a nostalgic journey back to the 1953 General Motors Motorama. Expect to see meticulously restored examples of the 1953 Corvette, Cadillac Eldorado, and Buick Skylark. The club continues its search for a 1953 Oldsmobile Fiesta to complete their impressive display.

National Capital Region Mustang Club (NCRMC): Chartered by the Mustang Club of America and established in 1979, the NCRMC will showcase select Mustangs from seven generations. This includes iconic models like the Shelby, Boss 302, Mach 1, and other specialty cars. Their showcase is a tribute to the power and legacy of the Mustang and promises to be a highlight for enthusiasts.

These classic car clubs will be located in the On The Go Hall on the lower level (Hall B) of the show. Their displays are not just showcases of vintage automobiles but are indeed a journey through automotive history, celebrating the traditions and innovations that have shaped the car enthusiast culture.

Hands On Hope

There is an event called "Hyundai Hands on Hope" at the 2024 Washington DC Auto Show. In this event, three employees from Children’s National Hospital and three employees from Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center will compete by attempting to maintain contact with a Hyundai vehicle for 44 hours. The objective is to win the vehicle and a share of $100,000 in pediatric cancer research grants for their respective hospitals. The competition also involves a key-drawing if more than one contestant remains in contact with the vehicle at the end of the contest. This contest is part of the Hyundai Hope on Wheels program, which focuses on finding cures for pediatric cancer. Attendees of the Auto Show can watch, cheer on, and support the contestants during the event.
